Frequently asked questions
Yes. Cita Ping watches the public booking system — the same one you use as a visitor without Cl@ve or a digital certificate. Appointments that only appear after you sign in with Cl@ve or a certificate don't show on the public page, so we can't detect them. Some individual offices also rarely release appointments through the public system even when other offices in the same province do, so a monitor limited to a single office may stay quiet while appointments appear elsewhere. When you can, watch the whole province rather than one office.
Yes. You can pause, edit, or cancel a monitor at any time from your account dashboard.
It depends on the procedure. Fingerprints and TIE pickup must happen in the province handling your file or where you live; for other procedures practice varies. The guide on getting an appointment in another province, in the articles section, goes case by case.
Yes. You can set up monitors for multiple provinces and cities across Spain. This is especially useful if you're willing to travel for an earlier appointment.
It depends on the comisaría. Some allow card pickup without an appointment during set hours, but most require the TIE pickup cita from the official portal, and the rule changes without notice. The safe assumption is that you need the appointment; the guide on TIE pickup and lotes in the articles section covers each case.
Yes. You can monitor appointments for multiple people from the same account. This is useful for families applying for procedures together, such as temporary residence permits or TIE renewals.
While Cita Ping significantly increases your chances by delivering fast notifications, we cannot guarantee an appointment — that depends on government availability and how quickly you respond to the alert.
Yes. Cita Ping covers every province on the official portal, plus the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla — from major cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Seville to smaller towns.
Cita Ping monitors the official Spanish government portal (icp.administracionelectronica.gob.es) and notifies you within minutes when an appointment slot becomes available for your procedure and location.
This varies by procedure and location. Some urgent procedures may have same-day availability, while others might have slots weeks or months in advance. Cita Ping monitors all timeframes.
You'll usually receive a notification within minutes of a slot appearing. We check the official portal continuously from 07:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and from 09:00 to 22:00 at weekends, Europe/Madrid time — the hours when the government releases new appointments — so alerts reach you fast.
No. Cita Ping is an independent service that monitors the official government portal. All appointments must still be booked directly through the official channels.
Yes. Cita Ping only requires basic information to set up your monitors. We never store your personal documents or access your government portal account.
The core list repeats across provinces: form EX-17, your passport with a copy, one 26×32 mm colour photo, the paid 790-012 fee and the resolution or receipt of your authorisation. Some provinces also ask for your padrón registration. Confirm the details on your province's official page before the appointment.
When you receive a notification, you'll need to quickly visit the official government portal to book the appointment. Cita Ping includes a direct link in the alert to speed up the process.
Cita Ping offers prepaid passes of different durations. Every pass includes fast notifications when appointments appear, monitoring of immigration and Policía Nacional procedures, and customer support. Choose the pass that best fits your situation and urgency.
Cita Ping keeps checking and will alert you when the next slot appears. We recommend enabling both email and Telegram notifications so an alert reaches you wherever you are.
Cita Ping supports all procedures available on the official portal including NIE applications, TIE renewals, residency permits, work authorizations, family reunification, citizenship applications, and other immigration-related procedures.
The official portal releases appointments unpredictably throughout the day and they're often taken within minutes. Manual checking is time-consuming and inefficient compared to automated monitoring. The cita previa guide in the articles section explains the booking process in more detail.
